I think the message I want to share with the world for my final project is “don’t make assumptions about people based on their outward appearance”. There are way too many people out in the world who will take one look at someone and form this whole negative hypothesis based on a couple second interaction and I think that needs to stop. I see this way too often at work and I’m over it. People need to stop this behavior and actually give people a chance because that behavior is extremely toxic and is also a major factor behind many of the problems we have today. I think talking about how this behavior comes up in relation to gender, religion, and thought processes, when people interact would be interesting because it should make people reflect on their actions and make them realize just how many assumptions they make a day based on little to no information. It’s good for everyone to reflect on their actions and make a conscience choice to change that behavior to give people the chance to possibly surprise them.
